Flamenco Biennial 2011
Amsterdam, Rotterdam and Utrecht 21-30 January
The top of the flamenco world will gather in the Netherlands from 21 to 30 January 2011 for the third time. The Flamenco Biennial Netherlands shows the rich flamenco tradition with modern dance performances, intimate song recitals and exciting musical alliances. Flamenco, 'the art, the cry of the people and the Andalusian gypsies,' as the Spanish poet Federico García Lorca and composer Manuel de Falla stated early last century, has now become world heritage. The Flamenco Biennial invites dancers, choreographers, singers and guitarists who keep the ancient dance and musical form alive with their vision.
