David Peña ‘Dorantes’ (Lebrija, 1969) was infused with flamenco from many sides: as grandson of singer La Perrata, son of guitarist Pedro Peña and nephew of El Lebrijano and Inés Bacán. He received his musical training at the Real Conservatorio Superior de Música in Seville, where he came into contact with many different kinds of music – classical, Brazilian, Asturian, jazz – that influenced his style. He will give a master class during the Biennnial that is open to participants not connected to the conservatorium.
